Students will study the methodology of Graffiti Art & Street Art. Students will learn and apply proper techniques and procedures in order to produce a high quality product to acceptable illustration and design industry standards. Students will develop their style from concept through completion and understand the importance of all phases of preparation and production. Students will produce designs and layouts manually and will build their project using various art mediums.

Students will study the roots of mural painting within the context of public art. Students will create a design for a mural together. Students will learn to work collaboratively through team building exercises. Students will learn the principles and elements of design, color theory and aesthetics will be emphasized throughout the project.

In this course, students will go from having little knowledge in drawing to creating advanced art and having a deep understanding of drawing fundamentals. The course starts with the basics by learning the elements and principles of design, where you'll learn about line, shape, value, color, and contrast. By the end of the course, students will learn how to map out and draw an object with proper proportions using lines and values.
